EECO welcomed a delegation from the Thai-Guishan Business Association to exchange information on investment opportunities
in the EEC area.

          On May 27, 2025, Mr. Thanawat Aroonpun, Executive Director of Digital and Technology Innovation Division of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO), along with a team of officials, warmly welcomed Mr. Wang Bin, Secretary General of International Alliance of Industrial Chain (IAIC), and a delegation of 25 representatives at the EECO office in Bangkok, Thailand.

          The delegation from the Thai-Guishan Business Association was briefed on the mission and strategic role of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO) in driving investment within the EEC area. The discussion included an overview of investment promotion policies, targeted industries, procedures for obtaining investment incentives, as well as the range of benefits available to investors operating in the EEC.

           The delegation expressed particular interest in the Smart City development project and workforce development initiatives especially in the field of electric vehicle engineering, which is recognized as a high-potential sector aligned with Thailand’s future industrial development direction.

           This meeting marked an important step in building mutual understanding and opened up opportunities for future investment cooperation between Thai and Chinese businesses in a key economic area of Thailand.
