Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO)
and Y.S.S.P. Aggregate Co., Ltd. Forge Strategic Partnership
to Develop Green Utility Infrastructure in EECd

The Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO), represented by Dr. Chula Sukmanop, Secretary-General, and Y.S.S.P. Aggregate Co., Ltd., represented by Mr. Yutthachai Phukhanthasom, Managing Director, have recently formalized a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration aims to undertake a joint feasibility study on the procurement and implementation of clean energy and treated water systems, to serve as a model for green utility infrastructure within the Digital Industry and Innovation Promotion Zone (EECd).

The primary objective of this MoU is to foster robust collaboration between the public and private sectors in exploring the potential to supply clean electricity and high-quality treated water—comparable to potable standards—to support industrial operators and investors within the EECd. This initiative represents a pioneering pilot project in sustainable infrastructure development, with a strong emphasis on greenhouse gas reduction at the regional level. It further aims to identify opportunities for the deployment of renewable energy solutions that are aligned with Thailand’s broader low-carbon development strategies and the national objective of achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions.

Through this collaboration, the EECO and Y.S.S.P. Aggregate Co., Ltd. seek to establish the Eastern Economic Corridor as a national benchmark for sustainable development. The partnership underscores the importance of integrated clean energy and environmental management, while enhancing investor confidence and promoting long-term business operations that are in harmony with the principles of the green economy.
