Recently, Mr. Korkij Danchaivichit, Deputy Secretary General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office of Thailand (EECO), welcomed Mr. Thanasorn Jaidee, President of True Internet Data Center (True IDC), and the management team on the occasion of a courtesy visit to discuss potential collaboration in developing the Data Center industry within the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).
This meeting is part of the ongoing efforts to drive Thailand’s digital infrastructure development strategy. Both parties exchanged views and shared insights on promoting data center investment to support the expansion of the digital economy and respond to the growing demand for cloud services and advanced technologies across industrial and service sectors.
During the discussion, EECO provided information on investment privileges and incentives available in the EEC, which investors can apply for based on their business needs—such as corporate income tax exemptions, facilitation of foreign currency transactions, and privileges for employing foreign experts. These incentives aim to attract more technology-driven businesses to invest in the region.
Both sides agreed that the development of Data Centers is a crucial component in building the country’s digital and innovation ecosystem, serving as a foundation for Thailand’s sustainable digital economy. The EEC has been designated as a “Regional Hub for Digital Technology and Innovation”, positioning Thailand as a competitive destination for data-driven industries in the region.
This meeting marks another significant step in strengthening public–private collaboration to drive Thailand toward becoming a Regional Digital Hub, fostering robust, sustainable, and tangible investment in digital infrastructure within the EEC.
