EECO Welcomes Guangzhou Investors to Explore EECiti Project Site

On January 13, 2026, Dr. Chula Sukmanop, Secretary-General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO), welcomed a high-level delegation of investors from Guangzhou, People’s Republic of China, and Thailand.
The delegation was led by Mr. Katchthiti Vivatwanont, Consul-General of Thailand in Guangzhou, and included 37 executives and representatives from leading companies and associations, such as:
  • Energy & Tech: China Holding Investment, Guangdong Luda New Energy, Shanghai New Energy Industry Association (SNEIA), Solar New Energy Convention (SNEC), Skyworth, and GAC Aion (Thailand).
  • Investment & Infrastructure: Zhongkuang Urban and Rural Investment, Huian Public Fund, Jingtong Rongzhi Holding Investment, and Guangdong Zhihui Fengsheng Technology Holdings.
  • Robotics & Innovation: UBtech, Zhonghui, GETO, and Bella 2020 Thailand HH Group Holding.
The EECO’s EECiti Project Management Division escorted the delegation to the project site in Huai Yai Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. The visit focused on exploring investment possibilities in:
  • Infrastructure & Utilities: Developing foundational systems for the smart city.
  • Clean Energy: Implementing sustainable power solutions.
  • Target Industries: Creating spaces for education hubs and environmentally friendly industries.
Later that evening, the Secretary-General and the investors held a discussion to exchange views on business development. The investors expressed significant interest in the project’s industrial potential and provided feedback on EECO’s operational framework.
Moving forward, the EECO, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Guangzhou, and the investor group will continue to collaborate closely to define investment structures and expand the scale of the EECiti project.
