
On 20 January 2026, the Eastern Economic Corridor Office of Thailand (EECO) welcomed a delegation from Kunming Architectural Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. at the EECO office in Bangsaen, Chonburi Province. The meeting aimed to discuss and exchange views on strategic cooperation in investment and project development within the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), as well as to explore potential areas for future collaboration in the EEC area.

Kunming Architectural Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. is a leading architectural and engineering design firm based in Kunming, People’s Republic of China. The company offers a full range of professional services, encompassing surveying and planning, architectural and engineering design, construction supervision, and engineering consultancy, with extensive experience in delivering large-scale projects both domestically and internationally.

The visit aimed to provide the delegation with insights into the EEC’s investment promotion policies, procedures for applying for investment incentives, and potential investment opportunities within the EEC. The program also included site visits to assess the development potential of prospective projects in the area.
In addition, both parties exchanged knowledge and expertise on environmentally friendly design and construction practices, with a focus on green sustainability, carbon reduction, and the application of advanced technologies to enhance construction standards and support long-term sustainable development goals.

Kunming Architectural Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. also expressed its readiness to serve as a channel for disseminating information on EEC investment incentives and policies to potential investors in Kunming and surrounding regions who are interested in investing in Thailand.
This discussion reflects the strong confidence of Chinese investors in the EEC’s potential and represents an important step toward strengthening Thailand–China cooperation, fostering investment, technology transfer, and the development of sustainable projects in the long term, both at the national level and across the Asean region.
