Steps for Requesting Incentives from the EEC
Investor Journey in the EEC
The EEC offers, in addition to tax benefits, a variety of
non-tax incentives that ensure seamless business operations
and a high quality of life in the region.
1. Ownership of land in the promotional zone
- Investors are permitted to own land within the Special Economic Promotional Zone for approved business activities, with the permitted land ownership area determined by the Negotiation Committee.
2. Ownership of condominium in EEC area
- Investors are granted the right to own condominium units within the EEC for business or residential purposes, with the permitted number of units subject to approval by the Negotiation Committee.
3. Right to bring workforce into and residing in the country
- Investors may bring in foreign specialists, executives, and experts, together with their spouses and dependents, who are allowed to enter and reside in Thailand for the duration and quota as authorized by the Secretary-General.
4. Right to obtain EEC Work Permit
- Foreign specialists, executives, and experts brought in by investors in the Special Economic Promotional Zone may work under an EEC Work Permit, issued directly with approval by the Secretary-General.
