EECO Visits THAICOM to Strengthen Digital Economy Readiness and Support Future Industries in the EEC

Recently, the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO), led by Mr. Chula Sukmanop, Secretary-General, and Mr. Korkit Danchaiwichit, Deputy Secretary-General, together with executives and officials, paid a study visit to THAICOM’s satellite communications and space technology operations at the Thaicom Ground Station in Pathum Thani Province. The visit aimed to exchange knowledge and insights on space technology and satellite communications, which serve as critical digital infrastructure for the digital economy and future industries.


On this occasion, the EECO delegation was welcomed by Mr. Pathomporn Suwansiri, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Thaicom Public Company Limited, along with the company’s executive team. The delegation was briefed on an overview of Thaicom’s satellite business, its technology development roadmap in satellite communications, and innovations in space technology (Space Tech) with strong potential for commercial applications and investment.

The delegation also observed demonstrations of SATCOM solutions, broadcast services, Space Tech innovations, and IoT solutions enabled by Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites, as well as toured Thaicom’s operations centers and satellite infrastructure. These activities highlighted the company’s advanced technological capabilities and operational readiness.


In this regard, Thaicom Public Company Limited is recognized as a key technology sector player with strong potential to support the development of the Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation (EECd), particularly in digital infrastructure, space technology, and satellite communications.
