EECO welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Thailand and the Chairman of the Thailand–Türkiye Business Council (TTBC) to discuss guidelines for promoting investment and trade cooperation between Thailand and the Republic of Türkiye
On 4 March 2026, Mr. Chula Sukmanop, Ph.D., Secretary-General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO), welcomed H.E. Julide Kayihan, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Thailand, and Mr. Rakesh Singh, Chairman of the Thailand–Türkiye Business Council (TTBC), and delegation to discuss initiatives in the promotion of investment and trade between Thailand and the Republic of Türkiye, with a focus on high-potential industries, particularly aerospace and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) within the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) area.
The Turkish side expressed strong interest in investment opportunities in the aviation and aerospace industries, including cooperation in supply chains and related technology development. EECO presented the progress of the Eastern Airport City development project and U-Tapao International Airport (UTP), as well as investment incentives and promotional measures available in the EEC to support the establishment of manufacturing bases and MRO centers. A comprehensive One-Stop Service was also highlighted to facilitate foreign investors.
The discussion reflected a shared commitment to elevating Thailand–Türkiye economic relations through the development of targeted industries, knowledge exchange, and the strengthening of long-term strategic connectivity, paving the way for sustainable growth in both countries.
