Objectives of the EEC Development Fund

The Fund supports the development of areas, communities, and people within or affected by EEC development.
The EEC Development Fund shall be used to fund the following activities:

Development of areas or communities, as well as providing
assistance or taking remedial actions to the people and
communities who may be affected by the development
of the Eastern Economic Corrido

Promotion and support of education and granting
of scholarships to people residing in the Eastern Economic Corridor,
or its vicinities, who are affected by the development
of the Eastern Economic Corridor

Other expenses that will enhance efficiency and promptness
of the development of the Eastern Economic Corridor
as specified by the Policy Committee

Expenses incurred in the course
of the management of the Fund

Promote and support initiatives aligned with the Fund’s objectives
to ensure effective outcomes

Manage and develop the Fund with high standards of
good governance, and achieve recognition for its effective
management of working capital.
