EECO Meeting with Delegation from the People’s Republic of China to Enhance Investment Cooperation in the EEC

The Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO), led by Mr. Nussati Khaneekul, Director of Investment Strategy Division, welcomed a delegation from Heze City, Shandong Province, the People’s Republic of China. The delegation was led by Mr. Geng Zhenhua, Vice Chairman of the Heze Municipal Committee of the CPPCC and Secretary of the Shanxian County Party Committee, together with a group of Chinese investors. The meeting aimed to exchange information and discuss potential directions for bilateral investment cooperation.

During the meeting, the EECO presented investment policies and strategic promotion initiatives for targeted industries within the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). The Chinese delegation expressed strong interest and viewed the EEC’s investment policies as appropriate, aligned with economic development trends, and conducive to investment decision-making in Thailand. Both sides exchanging perspectives on investment trends, the development potential of the EEC area, and opportunities for future economic cooperation. The Chinese delegation reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening relations and expanding cooperation with Thai government agencies on an ongoing basis.

In addition, discussions were held with representatives from the Chinese private sector who expressed interest in making investments in the EEC. These investors are currently undertaking studies on relevant information regarding potential investment opportunities in the EEC.

This meeting marks an important step toward enhancing mutual understanding of investment policies and trends, and will serve as a foundation for future cooperation. It aims to support investment in targeted industries within the EEC and to promote the development of sustainable business cooperation networks between Thailand and the People’s Republic of China.
