The Administrative Structure of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office of Thailand (EECO)
The structure comprises the Eastern Economic Corridor Policy Committee (EECC), which is chaired by the Prime Minister or a designated Deputy Prime Minister. The Committee membership includes Ministers from 14 key ministries: the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Public Health, and the Ministry of Industry. Other members include the Director of the Budget Bureau, the Secretary-General of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC), the Secretary-General of the Office of the Board of Investment (BOI), the Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, the President of the Federation of Thai Industries, and the Chairman of the Thai Bankers' Association, as well as up to five qualified experts appointed by the Prime Minister. The Secretary-General of the EECO serves as both a Committee Member and Secretary of the EECC.

At the operational level, the EECO serves as the secretariat to the EECC, responsible for managing administrative tasks, overseeing investment projects for area development and the 13 target industries (under the EEC framework), and proposing progress reports, work plans, recommendations. The Office also coordinates and follows up with relevant public and private agencies to ensure effective implementation. The EECO operates as a juristic person, similar to an independent government agency, which is not directly under the traditional civil service structure but receives funding from the government. Its executive management consists of the Secretary-General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Policy Committee, Deputy Secretaries-General, Assistant Secretaries-General, and Special Experts, who collectively drive the key missions of the EECO under the principles of transparency, participation, and integrity in governance.
