EECO Delivers Special Lecture on Industry Opportunities and Challenges to PhD Students from Rangsit University at Pattaya City Hall
On 21 March 2026, Dr. Chula Sukmanop, Secretary-General of the EEC, assigned Dr. Chonlajit Worawongso Wirakun, Deputy Secretary-General, to deliver a special lecture to PhD students from Rangsit University at Pattaya City Hall as part of a study visit on EEC development.
Dr. Chonlajit highlighted key industry opportunities and challenges, EEC progress, investment promotion policies, and major infrastructure projects supporting Thailand’s competitiveness and foreign investment.
The lecture also addressed global economic shifts—such as trade and investment reconfiguration, technology fragmentation, and financial diversification—which are shaping FDI trends, with ASEAN-5 gaining a larger global share.
Additionally, the session covered smart city development (EECiti), PPP frameworks, and integrated development in Pattaya to support sustainable growth, human capital, and creative industries.
