
On 9 July 2026, Mr. Chula Sukmanop, Ph.D., Secretary General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO), welcomed a delegation from the Beijing Federation of Industry and Commerce, led by Mr. Zhang Chenlin, Vice Chairman of the Beijing Federation of Industry and Commerce, together with representatives from the Beijing Business People Association Thailand and Chinese private-sector executives. The delegation visited the EECO headquarters in Bangkok to learn more about investment opportunities in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).
The Beijing Federation of Industry and Commerce is a leading business organization representing enterprises in Beijing, People’s Republic of China. The delegation comprised executives from business associations and private companies across a wide range of industries, including digital technology, engineering, media, and services. The visit aimed to gain a deeper insights intothe Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), including its industrial development policies, investment promotion measures, and business environment, while exploring opportunities to strengthen economic and investment cooperation between Thailand and China.
During the visit, EECO provided an overview of the EEC, highlighting its investment promotion policies, incentivespackage, world-class infrastructure, and the development of Thailand’s targeted industries. The meeting also provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on investment opportunities, future industrial development, and potential business partnerships, with the aim of strengthening economic and investment cooperation between Thailand and China.
