EECO Presents an Overview of EEC Development to the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senate of Thailand

On 25 September 2026, Dr. Cholachit Vorawangso Virakul, Assistant Secretary General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO), together with EECO officials, participated in a discussion with the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senate of Thailand, and presented an overview of EEC development during the Committee’s study visit to Chonburi Province.

During the discussion, EECO presented the EEC’s economic and investment landscape, including foreign direct investment, industrial development, and area development. The presentation also covered the progress of key infrastructure projects, the development of areas supporting targeted industries, and measures to enhance Thailand’s competitiveness amid changes in the global economy and geopolitical landscape.

EECO also shared its approaches to promoting investment in targeted industries, developing special economic promotion zones, and creating an investment-friendly ecosystem. These efforts aim to advance digital and high-technology industries and the green economy while supporting economic growth, workforce development, and sustainable improvements in the quality of life of local communities.
