Recently, Dr. Chula Sukmanop, Secretary General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office of Thailand (EECO), together with Mr. Korkij Danchaivichit. Deputy Secretary General, and representatives, welcomed Dr.Supakorn Siddhichai, Acting President and CEO of the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa), along with the agency’s executive team, to discuss strategic approaches for advancing the Thailand Digital Valley (TDV) project. The meeting aimed to define a clear direction for maximizing the project’s effectiveness while strengthening collaboration in developing Thailand’s digital innovation and industrial ecosystem.
During the discussion, both organizations exchanged views on optimizing the utilization of Thailand Digital Valley, with particular emphasis on the IoT Institute as a hub for learning, research, innovation, and collaboration among government agencies, private enterprises, academic institutions, and technology companies. The initiative is expected to enhance Thailand’s long-term competitiveness and reinforce the country’s digital innovation capabilities.
In addition, depa sought EECO’s support in promoting Thailand Digital Valley to organizations and businesses under its network, encouraging wider utilization of the project’s facilities and services while fostering stronger partnerships to accelerate the growth of Thailand’s digital economy.
The meeting reflected the shared commitment of EECO and depa to strengthening inter-agency collaboration in positioning Thailand Digital Valley as the country’s premier hub for digital technology and innovation. Through promoting investment, developing a highly skilled digital workforce, and cultivating a robust digital ecosystem, both organizations aim to drive the growth of future digital industries, enhance Thailand’s global competitiveness, and support the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) in becoming a leading regional hub for innovation, technology, and sustainable economic development.
