EECO and Bangkok Bank Join Forces to Advance Digital Innovation and Strengthen the EEC Investment Ecosystem

The Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO) and Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Innovation and Service Development to Advance Investment Promotion in the Eastern Economic Corridor. The agreements were signed by Mr. Chula Sukmanop, Secretary-General of EECO, and Mr. Charamporn Jotikasthira, Member of the Board of Executive Directors of Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited, at the EECO office in Bang Rak, Bangkok.

The partnership aims to promote the development of innovation, services and essential digital infrastructure to strengthen the investment ecosystem in the EEC. It will facilitate investors and businesses in target industries by improving access to financial, investment and business-related products and services in a convenient, efficient and secure manner. The collaboration also provides a framework for coordination with relevant public- and private-sector organizations and for jointly promoting products, services and activities arising from the partnership.

Among the areas of collaboration under the partnership, EECO and Bangkok Bank will jointly explore opportunities to apply digital technologies to enhance EECO’s electronic document processes. The initiative will explore secure and efficient connectivity and exchange of electronic data and documents, while promoting knowledge sharing, personnel development, research and further development of the platform toward practical implementation.

The collaboration marks another important step in bringing together the strengths of the public and financial sectors to leverage digital technology for more efficient investment-related services and processes. It is expected to enhance ease of doing business, strengthen the EEC’s investment environment and contribute to Thailand’s long-term competitiveness and sustainable economic development.
