On 22 May 2026, Dr. Chula Sukmanop, Secretary-General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO), welcomed Dr. Jayagowri Pindaya, Minister Counsellor (Economic Affairs), and Ms. Nur Liyana Binti Alwi, First Secretary, from the Embassy of Malaysia in Thailand for a courtesy call and discussions on economic and investment cooperation at the EECO Office in Bangkok.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the development direction of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) and explored opportunities to enhance cooperation. Discussions focused on investment facilitation, the development of strategic partnerships, and the promotion of bilateral trade and investment flows, as well as strengthening private sector engagement.
