EECO Shares Perspectives on Foreign Investment and Workforce Development
On 15 July 2026, Dr. Cholachit Vorawangso Virakul, Assistant Secretary General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO) Office, was invited to deliver insights on “Chinese-Funded Enterprises in the EEC: Development Trends and Talent Needs” at 2026 Confucius Institute (Classroom) Development Alliance of Thailand, held in Chonburi. The event brought together representatives from Confucius Institutes, educational institutions, and Thai–Chinese cooperation networks to exchange perspectives and strengthen collaboration in education and cultural development.
The session underscored the EEC’s role in driving economic development, attracting foreign direct investment, and cultivating a skilled workforce to meet the evolving needs of industry. It also provided a platform for discussions on workforce readiness and talent development to support the long-term growth of future industries.
The session also served as a valuable platform for fostering dialogue between the education sector and economic development stakeholders. Through the exchange of knowledge and experiences, the event contributed to strengthening Thai–Chinese cooperation in human capital development, research collaboration, and talent preparation, helping to support sustainable economic growth and future investment opportunities.
